On Saturday 3rd March 2018 Glama’s very own Account Manager, Ian Armstrong, undertook the grilling "Paddle Across the Bay" challenge to raise money for Cancer Council of Victoria.

Along with 191 other paddlers, Ian paddled 10km’s across Port Phillip Bay, from Brighton Beach to Port Melbourne. An overall total of $40,000 was raised on the day.

In 2017 Ian was diagnosed with malignant melanoma and through early detection and successful treatment, was inspired by the work of Cancer Council Victoria. Wanting to make a difference and show his support, Ian’s goal was to raise money and awareness for Cancer Council Victoria through his participation in Paddle Across the Bay.

Cancer Council Victoria is an independent, not-for-profit organisation and through life-saving work in cancer research, prevention and support, play a leading role in reducing the impact of all cancers on all people.

Ian would like to thank those that sponsored and supported him in this event.
